4、AllusesubjecttoJSTORTermsandConditionsEconomicReformsandIndustrialStructureinIndiaThispaperfocusesontheimpactofIndia'seconomicreformsonindustrialstructureandproductivity.Itrevealsadisappointingoverallperformanceinbothoutputgrowthandemployment.This,however,isnottheresultofexogenousfactors,but
5、theconsequenceofthetypeofpoliciesbeingfollowedundereconomicreforms.Ifmistakesweremadeinthepast,theyneedtobecorrected.Buteffortsshouldbemadetoensurethatdemandishighenoughformoreoutputtobeproduced,morepeopletobeemployed,povertytobereduced.SuDIPCHAUDHURIundamentalchangesintheIndianbasicchemical
