5、oads,portfacilities,communications,andmerchantmarine.morethanathousandvillageshadbeenburned.eighty-fivepercentofthechildrenweretubercular.livestock,poultry,anddraftanimalshadalmostdisappeared.inflationhadwipedoutpracticallyallsavings.asaresultofthesetragicconditions,amilitantminority,
