2、fter)isdrawnup,providingtheguidelinesforEnglishinstructiontonon-Englishmajorstudents.I.CharacterandObjectiveofCollegeEnglishCollegeEnglishisarequiredbasiccourseforundergraduatestudents.Asasystematicwhole,CollegeEnglishhasasitsmaincomponentsknowledgeandpracticalskillsoftheEnglishlanguage,learningst
3、rategiesandinterculturalcommunication;ittakestheoriesofforeignlanguageteachingasitsguideandincorporatesdifferentteachingmodelsandapproaches.TheobjectiveofCollegeEnglishistodevelopstudents’abilitytouseEnglishinanall-roundway,especiallyinlisteningandspeaking,sothatintheirfutureworkandsocialinteracti
4、onstheywillbeabletoexchangeinformationeffectivelythroughbothspokenandwrittenchannels,andatthesametimetheywillbeabletoenhancetheirabilitytostudyindependentlyandimprovetheirculturalqualitysoastomeettheneedsofChina'smilitaryreform,socialdevelopmentandinternationalexchanges.II.TeachingRequirementsTher
5、equirementsforundergraduateCollegeEnglishteachingaresetatthreelevels,i.e.,basicrequirements,intermediaterequirements,andhigherrequirements.Allnon-EnglishmajorsarerequiredtoattaintooneofthethreelevelsofrequirementsafterstudyingandpracticingEnglishatschool.Thebasicrequirementsisagoalthatallcollegegr
