2、equiringprecisioninoneormoreaspects.Thismayinvolveaccuratecontrolofdistanceorspeed,veryoftenbothandsometimesotherparameterssuchastorqueoraccelerationrate.Inthecaseofthetwoexamplesgiven,theweldingrobotrequiresprecisecontrolofbothspeedanddistance;thecranehydraulicsystemusesthedriv

3、erasthefeedbacksystemsoitsaccuracyvarieswiththeskilloftheoperator.Thiswouldn’tbeconsideredamotioncontrolsysteminthestrictsenseoftheterm.Ourstandardmotioncontrolsystemconsistsofthreebasicelements:Fig.1ElementsofmotioncontrolsystemThemotor,Thismaybeasteppermotor(eitherrotaryorline
