4、ssuchasthefieldinvestigation,thedataanalysesandtheexperimentaltests,detailedstudiesarecarriedouttounderstandthedistributioncharacteristicsandgeologicalsettingofhigharsenicgroundwaterinHetaoPlaininInnerMongolia.Thesourceofarsenicingroundwaterandstrata,thephysicalandchemicalprocesse
5、sofaggregationanddissolutionarestudied,andthreepatternsofarsenicaggregationinHetaoPlainformationareputforward,namely,themigrationalongthefault-accumulationpatterns,thecolloidaleffectinriverandlake-accumulationpattern,andtheevaporationandaccumulationpattern.Theresearchshowsthatthea
6、rsenicingroundwaterinHetaoPlainisoriginatedfromthestrata,andthemainarsenicsourcesofthestrataareofthreeaspects:(1)thesurroundingmountains,especiallyinthewesternmountainswithhighmineralizationbelt,(2)theupperreachesoftheYellowRiver,and(3)thetectonicallytransporteddeepgroundwater.The
