2、ayworksSERIES9000StreetLighting6A.Preamble1.TheBillofQuantitiesshallbereadinconjunctionwiththeInstructionstoBidders,GeneralandSpecialConditionsofContract,TechnicalSpecifications,andDrawings.TheitemnumberandSpecificationnumberrefertotherelevantsectionsoftheStandard
3、and/orSpecialSpecifications2.ThequantitiesgivenintheBillofQuantitiesareestimatedandprovisional,andaregiventoprovideacommonbasisforbidding.Thebasisofpaymentwillbetheactualquantitiesofworkorderedandcarriedout,asmeasuredbytheContractorandverifiedbytheEngineerandvalue
4、dattheratesandpricesbidinthepricedBillofQuantities,whereapplicable,andotherwiseatsuchratesandpricesastheEngineermayfixwithinthetermsoftheContract.3.TheratesandpricesbidinthepricedBillofQuantitiesshall,exceptinsofarasitisotherwiseprovidedundertheContract,includeall
5、ConstructionalPlant,labour,supervision,materials,erection,maintenance,insurance,profit,taxes,andduties,togetherwithallgeneralrisks,liabilities,andobligationssetoutorimpliedintheContract.4.ArateorpriceshallbeenteredagainsteachiteminthepricedBillofQuantities,whether
6、quantitiesarestatedornot.ThecostofItemsagainstwhichtheContractorhasfailedtoenterarateorpriceshallbedeemedtobecoveredbyotherratesandpricesenteredintheBillofQuantities.5.ThewholecostofcomplyingwiththeprovisionsoftheContractshallbeincludedintheItemsprovidedintheprice
7、dBillofQuantities,andwherenoItemsareprovided,thecostshallbedeemedtobedistributedamongtheratesandpricesenteredfortherelatedItemsofWork.6.Withoutaffectingthegeneralityoftheforegoingprovisions,theratesandpricesenteredbytheContractorintheBillofQuantitiesshallincludeth
