6、f-roadperformance,seniorluxurycar,thissystemismostcommonlyusedtorearwheeldrive,andthecrosscountryfourWheeldrive.LimitedSlipDifferential限滑差速器,LSD为循迹控制的一环可以确保驱动轮的动力输出,常用于后轮驱动车的后轴差速器上,四轮驱动车的中央差速器及后轴差速器上,LSD的目的乃在于改善传统差速当驱动轮由于驱动力输出太大或地面太湿滑,或单轮悬空所造成单边驱动轮打滑,而造
7、成另一轮也同时失去驱动力,至使车辆无法脱困或循迹性不好的现象。LSD最常用的控制方式是一种叫VLSD-ViscousLSD黏性限滑差速器,其作法通常是在差速器中设有黏性藕合金属片,及装有一种遇热很容易膨涨且稳定的油类,当车辆发生驱动轮打滑且左右轮的转速相差大时,将使分别连结于左右驱动轮上的金属片亦产生转速差,此金属片的转速差将会使油产生高温膨涨,如此将会使两轮的转速差受到限制,而将部份原本传到打滑轮的驱动力转移到另一轮,使得原本失去驱动力的轮子重获力量,改善行驶的稳定性及越野性能,此种系统最常用于后轮
8、驱动的高级豪华房车,以及越野四轮传动车。
