2、asupintothelistofStatekeyscenicspots（国家重点旅游景点）andwasformallylistedinthedirectory（名录）ofWorldNaturalandCulturalHeritagein1987.Itbecomesapreciousheritageofhumanbeing.MountTaiislocatedintheeastofNorthChinaPlainandthemiddleofShandongprovinceerecting（矗立）from
3、theShandonghills（丘陵）.Itisprominentaroundotherhills.Theprominentpeak,YuhuangPeak,is1545metershighandislocatedat117.6degreeeastlongitude（东经）,36.16degreenorthlatitude(北纬).ThesouthofMountTaiishigherthanthenorth.ItssouthernfootofmountainbeginsfromTai'ancity
4、anditsnorthernfootofmountainstopsinJinanCity,thedistancebetweenwhichis60kms.ThetransportationthereisconvenientwiththeJinghurailwaypassingbyinthewest.InitsnorthisJinancity,whichhasanothernameof"SpringCity".ThedistancebetweenMountTaiandQufuis70kms.Manyro
5、adsandrailwayssuchasTaifei,Taixin,Taining,andTaijimeetinTai'ancity,whichisjustlocatedinthesouthofMountTai.MountTaiisinasuperiorgeographiclocationwithabundantwaterandthermalresources,anditbelongstomonsoonclimateofmediumlatitudes(温带季风气候).Asregardtoitshis
6、toricposition,intheancienttimes,MountTaiisadevelopedregion——inthelowerreaches(下游)oftheYellowRiver.Asregardtoitsculturalposition,itisthecenterofDongyiCulture.AtthesouthernfootofMountTai,thereisDawenkouCulture,andthereisLongshanCultureatitsnorthernfoot,i
