3、andoningGeorgeOsborne'spre-electionpledgetoraisetheinheritancetaxthresholdto£1m.HuntwasspeakingontheAndrewMarrShowonBBC1beforehisstatementtoparliamentonMonday,inwhichhewilloutlinethegovernment'sresponsetotheDilnotreportonfundingsocialcare.Herecommendedacapontheamou
4、ntindividualsareexpectedtopayforcarewhentheybecomeelderlyandinfirmbeforethestatestepsinofbetween£25,000–£50,000,tobesettledat£35,000.Huntallbutconfirmedthecapwouldbesetat£75,000afterOsbornewarnedministerstheDilnotproposalwouldcostatleast£2bn.Thehealthsecretaryalsoc
5、ameclosetoconfirmingreportsthatthe£1bncostofthenewcapwouldbefundedbyfreezinginheritancetax(IHT)atthecurrentrateof£325,000until2019.IfIHT,frozensince2009,increasedinlinewithinflationeveryyearuntil2019itwouldreach£420,000.Huntsaid:"Wehaveascandalatthemomentthateveryy
