3、kintheMiddleEast,Dubai,Chinaandelsewhere.TheyneedEnglishtodobusiness,”hesaid.PassassimNanguit,aspokespersonfortheWestAfricanblocoftheFrancophoneInternationalOrganization,saidbothlanguageshelpenableworkerstoconductbusinessthroughoutWestAfrica.“It’sbetterforbusinesstospe
4、akEnglishandFrench.Both.InAfrica,thereareFrancophoneandEnglish-speakingcountries.That’swhyGhanaandNigeriaareintoFrench.AlsoSouthAfrica,”saidNanguit.AtGhana’sAllianceFrancaiseschool,staffcoordinatorCarolineTatareausaidEnglish-speakingGhanaianscometolearnFrenchtomakethem
5、selvesmoreattractiveasjobcandidates.“MostofthetimethepeoplewhocametolearnFrench,theycameonlytoaddsomethingontheirCV,”shesaid.Whileoil-producingGabonseesEnglishasawaytobetterprepareitsworkforce,OusmanePaye,specialassistanttotheSecretaryGeneraloftheFrancophoneInternation
6、alOrganization,saidAfricannationsmustcontinuespeakingandpromotingFrench,sothatittooisseenasalanguageofthemarketplace.“Wemustworkonthisalot.WemustworksothattheFrenchlanguageisnotsomethingtobeseenonthepage,butalsotobeused.Notjustthelanguageofliterature,poetry,philosophy,
