2、othercriteriahavebeenmetbythestandardsdeveloper.Consensusisestablishedwhen,inthejudgmentoftheANSIBoardofStandardsReview,substantialagreementhasbeenreachedbydirectlyandmateriallyaffectedinterests.Substantialagreementmeansmuchmorethanasimplemajority,butnotnecessarilyunanimity.Consensus
3、requiresthatallviewsandobjectionsbeconsidered,andthataconcertedeffortbemadetowardtheirresolution.TheuseofAmericanNationalStandardsiscompletelyvoluntary;theirexistencedoesnotinanyrespectprecludeanyone,whetherhehasapprovedthestandardornot,frommanufacturing,marketing,purchasing,orusingp
4、roducts,processes,orproceduresnotconformingtothestandard.TheAmericanNationalStandardsInstitutedoesnotdevelopstandardsandwillinnocircumstancesgiveaninterpretationofanyAmericanNationalStandard.Moreover,nopersonshallhavetherightorauthoritytoissueaninterpretationofanAmericanNationalStand
5、ardinthenameoftheAmericanNationalStandardsInstitute.Requestsforinterpretationsshouldbeaddressedtothesecretariatorsponsorwhosenameappearsonthetitlepageofthisstandard.CAUTIONNOTICE:ThisAmericanNationalStandardmayberevisedorwithdrawnatanytime.TheproceduresoftheAmericanNationalStandardsI
