3、anyotherdevelopingcountryintheprogressofglobalization.Coupledwiththecomplexenvironmentofglobalization,manysocialfacetsinChinaarebeingorhavebeendeeplyinfluencedbyglobalization.Amongtheseinfluences,China’sculturaldevelopmentisinamuchmoredangeroussituation
4、.Globalizationisaactually,double-edgedsword,whichbringspeoplebothchallengesandopportunities.2.ChallengesofglobalizationtoChineseculture2.1DeclineoftraditionalfestivalsIntheprocessofglobalizationandwiththeexpansionofculturalcommunication,westernculturesw
5、eepsChinaandofcourse,thisisnormal.Onlyabsorbingandintegratingforeigncultureelementcanguaranteeanationalculturearemarkabledevelopment.Inthiscultureexchangingprogress,peopleshouldholdontothebottomlineofnationalculture.However,aswesternfestivalsenterChina,
6、moreandmoreChinesefavorforeignfestivalsratherthantheirown.SomeareindifferenttotraditionalChinesefestivalsandevenforgetthem(Jie,2003).Certainly,thehypeofforeignfestivalsbytheadvertisersisoneofthereasons.However,whatisdeeplyreflectedbythisphenomenonisthat
7、Chineseareshowingastatusofbigotryandinapplicabilitytotheglobalization(Liu,2004).ItisthebigotryandinapplicabilitythatleadstothegreatendangermentoftraditionalChinesefestivals.2.2InsufficientculturalcreativeabilityChinesecultureandtechnologycannotmakeabrea
