3、ayisofsocialconcern,includingdiscussionsonthelegalizationofsame-sexmarriagehasbecomeincreasinglyfierce.ParticularlyrenownedsociologistDr.LiYinhe"Chineseproposaltolegalizesame-sexmarriage,"andmuchcontroversy,notonlycontroversialproposalitself,moreproposalsreflectstheenormoussocialvalueconflict
4、s---mainstreamandnon-mainstreamcollision,peoplestartthinkingaboutsame-sexmarriageshouldnotbelegalized.Inessence,homosexualityisakindoftheoppositesexcannotproducetomeettherequirementsandnatureofnaturalphysiologicalphenomenon.In1973,theAmericanPsychiatricAssociationremovedhomosexualitywouldlead
5、toadecisionClassificationofDiseases,thefollowingyear,theAmericanPsychologicalAssociationhasalsomadeasimilardecision.WorldHealthOrganizationalsoconfirmedin1992:homosexualityisanaturalphenomenonbelongingtominorities,thenitisnotclassifiedasmentaldisorders(sexualperversion).In2001,Chinapromulgate
6、dthethirdeditionPsychiatricAssociation,"ChinaClassificationanddiagnosticcriteriaofmentaldisorders",thesamewillberemovedhomosexualityfromtheclassificationofdiseases,whichmeansthathomosexualityisnolongerconsideredadisease,homosexualityisnolongerinourcountryforthefirsttimeclassifiedasapathologic
7、almentalabnormality.Sincehomosexualityisnotpathological,butratheranormalhumanbehaviorandminoritiesnormalwayoflife,therefore,homosexualityasacitizenofacountry,itsbasiclegalrightsasheterosexualsshouldobtainlegalrecognitionandprotectionofthecoun
