3、017AbstractAlongwiththerapiddevelopmentinagriculture,hugeamountofdifferentkindsofcropstrawisproducedinChinaeveryyear.Cropstrawisakindofusefulbiomaterial.Howtousethevaluablebio-resource,otherthantotreatitasawasteisveryimportantforChinaandtheworld.Strawb
4、i-ologicalreactorisakindoftechnologytoreturncropstrawsintoagriculturalfieldstoimprovecropproduction.Inthisexperiment,effectsofbuilt-instrawbiologicalreactor(BISBR)withmaizestrawonthegrowthenvironment,yieldandqualityofwatermelonwerestudiedintheshedscov-
5、eredwithplasticfilm.TheresultsshowedthattheBISBRwithmaizestrawincreasedorganicmattercontentsofthesoilby3.88%-23.65%,andreducedbulkdensityandsalinityofthesoilby11.07%and17.65%respectively.TheBISBRwithmaizestrawelevatedthesoiltemperaturesby1.4˚C-6.0˚C,wi
6、thanaverageof3.7˚C.ItraisedCO2concentrationsoftheshedatmosphereby52.19%-233.96%,withanaverageof137.30%.Theyieldofthewatermelonwasraisedby61.65%,andthesugarcontentofthewatermelonwasincreasedby25.10%bytheBISBRwithma-izestraw.TheresultsindicatedthattheBIS
