1、附件2关于签证所需材料的说明ThevisaapplicationmaterialswillneedtobesubmittedtotheInternationalStudentsandScholarsOffice(ISSO)nolaterthanApril29.ItwilltakeISSOapproximatelythreeweekstoprocesscompletedvisaapplications.Thefollowingmaterialswillneedtobesubmitted:•Aphotocopyoftheletteroremailofadmissi

2、onfromtheadmissionsofficeofyourschool•Aphotocopyoftheidentificationpageofyourpassport.Ifyoudonothaveapassportyet,besuretoenteryournameontheAVCformEXACTLYasitisonyourpassportapplication.•Asignedanddatedletterfromyoudescribinghowyouwillpayforyourtuition,feesandlivingexpensesforthesumm

4、tproveyoucanpayforyourstudiestwice—firsttotheISSObeforeweissuean1-20andagaintotheConsularOfficerwhodecideswhethertoissueyourentryvisa.Yourfundingdocumentsmustshowthattheestimatedcostoftuition,feesandlivingexpensesarereadilyavailableliquidassets.Readilyavailableliquidassetsincludeche

5、ckingorsavingsaccounts,moneymarketaccounts,orcertificatesofdeposit(timedeposits)withmaturitydatesoflessthanoneyear.ThefollowingfundingdocumentsARENOTACCEPTABLEunderanycircumstances:investmentportfoliosofanykind(equities,bonds,mutualfunds,etc.),retirementplanaccounts,taxreturnsorothe

6、rtaxfilingdocuments,deedstoanyrealestate,leaseswithrentalincome,etc.Ifyouplantousemoneyfromthesaleofinvestmentsorthesaleofrealestateorpersonalitems(suchasyourcar),youmustselltheinvestmentorpropertyoritemandplacetheproceedsofthesaleintoacheckingorsavingsaccount,amoneymarketaccountora

7、certificateofdeposit(timedeposit)withamaturitydateoflessthanoneyear.TheISSOcannotissueyour1-20untilyouhaveclearlyshownthatyouhaveavailablefundsthatequalorexceedyourestimatedexpensesfortheyear.
