2、savolunteer,Iwashonoredtojointhisgreatprojectandreallyfeltitsexcellence.Andcontactingexhibitionworkwithoutdistanceenrichedmyhorizonandenabledmetogetalot.OnSeptember14th,2012,IsetoutforPingyao,thehostvenueofthethe12thPingyaoInternationalPhotographyFestival,withothervolunt
3、eers.ThenighthadshutinwhenwegottoPingyao,theancientcity,whichwasnamedafamoushistoricandculturalcitybytheStateCouncilandwasincludedinitslistofWorldCultureHeritagebytheUNESCOin1997.Itwassobeautifulthatweexpectedtojointheworkandtryourbesttohelpthefestivalhostsuccessfully.Ly
4、ingontheheatableadobesleepingplatformenabledmethinkofourchildhood.AsanEnglishtranslatormajorstudent,ourworkwastocommunicateanddoeverythingaboutforeigners.Hostingthisactivityisahardworkbecauseitincludeslotsofregularthingsaswellasmanyunexpectedthings.Ourmaintaskswerethree:
5、firstistomeetalloftheforeignphotographersandcurators；secondistohelptheforeigncuratorsinstall,inadditiontothose,theimportantthingistotranslate.Ofcoursetherewerelotsoftrifles.Thisreportwillintroducesomepersonalexperiencefromcross-culturalcommunication,translationandworking
6、abilities.Ireallyhopethattheseexperiencecanhelpstudentsoftranslationmajor.Cross-culturalCommunicationandTranslationThenextdaymorning,wegotupveryearly.Afterbreakfast,wegotourowntasks.IwasarrangedtohelpanEnglishcouplewhoarefamousphotographersandcuratorsorganizeandinstall.D
