6、itebellyandlargeslightlyoutlinedscales.Thegrasscarpgrowsveryrapidly,andyoungfishstockedinthespringat20 centimetres(7.9 in)willreachover45 centimetres(18 in)byfall,andadultsoftenattainnearly1.2 metres(3.9 ft)inlengthandover18 kilograms(40 lb)inweight.Accordingtoonestudy,theyliveanaverage
