3、ntthisyear,beforegraduallystrengtheningto3.1percentin2014.Thereportattributesmorethanhalfoftheglobalgrowthin2012todevelopingeconomieswhichachievedanestimatedgrowthof5.1percentlastyear.TheBanksays,strongdomesticdemandandgrowingSouth-Southeconomiclinkageshaveunderpinneddevelopingcountryresiliencetot

4、heongoingcrisis.TheBankalsoprojectsthegrowthofdevelopingeconomiesat5.5percentthisyearbeforeitrisesto5.7percentin2014.However,theweaknessinhigh-incomecountriesisdampeningdeveloping-countrygrowth.WorldBankPresidentDr.JimYongKimsays,despitepromisingandsometimesevencourageousmeasurestakeninEurope,ther

5、eareissuesremainintheEurozone.AndtheUnitedStatesistryingtodealwithitsdebtandfiscalcrisis."Therisksfromthissituationaresubstantial,especiallyfordevelopingcountriesthathaveremainedremarkablyresilientthusfar.Butwecan'twaitforareturntogrowthinthehigh-incomecountries,sowehavetocontinuetosupportdevelopi

6、ngcountriesinmakinginvestmentsininfrastructure,inhealth,ineducation.Thiswillsetthestageforthestrongergrowththatweknowthattheycanachieveinthefuture."TheWorldBankurgesdevelopingcountriestoensuretheirfiscalandmonetarypoliciesrobustandresponsivetodomesticconditionsinsteadoftryingtoanticipateeveryfluct

7、uationindevelopedcountries.Lastyeardevelopingcountriesrecordedamongtheirslowesteconomicgrowthrates2ofthepastdecade,partlyduetotheEurozonedebtcrisis.Internationalcapitalflowstodevelopingcountriesfell30percentinthe
