2、Initiativehasbeenincomprehensiveimplementationstagesinceofficiallyproposedin2013.AccordingtothelateststatisticsfromtheMinistryofCommerce,thegrosstradevolumebetweenChinaandthecountriesalongtheBeltandRoadhasreached$3.1trillioninrecent3years,accountingfor26%ofChina’stotalforeigntradevolume.In
3、particular,thebilateraltradevolumebetweenChinaandthecountriesalongtheBeltandRoadachieveda0.6%growth,reachingRMB6.3trillionin2016(China’stotalimportandexportvolumefallingby0.9%year-on-yearin2016).Chineseenterprisesmade$14.53billiondirectinvestmenttothecountriesalongtheBeltandRoadintheyearof
4、2016,whichachievedanincreaseof14.3%comparedto2013.ThevalueofnewlysignedcontractsbetweenChineseenterprisesandthecountriesalongtheBeltandRoadwas$126billionin2016,ayear-on-yearincreaseof36%,accountingfor51.6%valueofallnewlysignedengineeringcontracts.Alargenumberofconnectivityprojectshavebeeni
5、nsteadyprogress.Inthebackgroundofworldeconomicpatternexperiencingprofoundadjustment,allkindsof"blackswan"eventemerginginanendlessstream,populismandde-globalizationtrendspreadingcontinuouslyinrecent3years,theBeltandRoadInitiativeorientedtowardstheeconomiesalongtheB&R,fittingtheregionaldevel
6、opmentneeds,isgainingmoreandmorenationalidentity.Overall,withcontinuousconsolidationofpoliticalmutualtrustbetweenChinaandcountriesalongtheB&R,theBeltandRoadInitiativehasachievedincreasingcohesion.Inthelongrun,thesmoothprogressofBeltandRoadInitiativewillhelptopromotethetransformationandupgr
