3、eUnitedStatesandabroad.VTPfaculty,researchaffiliates,andstudentshavewrittenmanyworkingpapers,publishedscoresofacademicarticlesandbooks,andworkedonagreatarrayofspecificprojects.Allofthisresearchandpolicymakingactivityseekstodevelopbettervotingtechnologies,toimproveelectionadministr

4、ation,andtodeepenscientificresearchintheseareas.AboutthePollingPlaceoftheFutureProjectThePollingPlaceoftheFutureProjectseekstoimprovetheperformanceofAmerica’spollingplacesthroughresearchandthedevelopmentofpracticaltoolsforusebyelectionadministratorstobetterallocateresourcesthatare

5、dedicatedtovoting.TheProjectisindirectresponsetoPresi-dentObama’sdeclarationthatwhenitcomestolonglinesatthepolls,“Wehavetofixthat,”andtothebenchmarksuggestedbythePresidentialCommissiononElectionAdministrationthatnovoterwaitlongerthan30minutestocheckintocastaballot.AcknowledgmentsT
