1、greatpoet---LiBaiLiBai(Chinese:李白,LǐBáiorLǐBó;lived701–762),alsoknownintheWestbyvariousothertransliterations,especiallyLiPo,wasamajorChinesepoetoftheTangdynastypoetryperiod.LiBaiHehasbeenregardedasoneofthegreatestpoetsinChina'sTangperiod,whichisoftencalle
2、dChina's"goldenage"ofpoetry.Aroundathousandexistingpoemsareattributedtohim.[1]Thirty-fourofhispoemsareincludedinthepopularanthologyThreeHundredTangPoems.IntheareaofChineseculturalinfluence,LiBai'spoetryhasbeenmuchesteemedfromhislifetimethroughthepresentda
3、y.HisinfluencealsoextendstotheWestthroughmanytranslations,adaptations,andmuchinspiration.EarlyyearsTheyoungLiBai,beforetwentyyearsofage,hadfoughtandkilled,apparentlyforreasonsofchivalry,severalmen.In720,hewasinterviewedbyGovernorSuTing,whoconsideredhimage
4、nius.Thoughheexpressedthewishtobecomeanofficial,henevertookthecivilserviceexaminationAtChang'anLiBaiwroteseveralpoemsabouttheEmperor'sbeautifulandbelovedYangGuifei,thefavoriteroyalconsort.AtthepersuasionofYangGuifeiandGaoLishi,MingHuangreluctantly,butpoli
5、tely,andwithlargegiftsofgoldandsilver,sentLiBaiawayfromtheroyalcourt.FinalyearsanddeathItwasreported,fromuncertainsources,thatLiBaidrownedafterfallingfromhisboatwhenhetriedtoembracethereflectionofthemoonintheYangtzeRiver,somethinglaterbelievedbyHerbertGil
6、es.WorksCriticismofLiBai'sworkshasfocusedonhisstrongsenseofthecontinuityofpoetictradition,hisglorificationofalcoholicbeverages(and,indeed,frankcelebrationofdrunkenness),hisuseofpersona,thefantasticextremesofsomeofhisimagery,hisviolationsofformalpoeticrule
7、s–andhisabilitytocombineallofthesewithaseemingeffortlessvirtuosityinordertoproduceinimitablepoetry.WineManyoftheClassicalChinesepoetswereassociatedwithdrinkingwine,ormoreprecisely,alcoholicbeverages,suchaschoujiu,baijiu,orevengrapewine.Infact,LiBaiwaspart
