3、olidays.Theyreceivetraininginlifesavingaswellastakingpartinhealthyexerciseatthebeach.AsmuchofAustralia’scoastlinecanbedangerousforinexperiencedswimmers,surflifesaversdeterminethesafestplaceforpeopletoswimandplaceflagsonthebeachtoshowpeoplewhereitissafe.Bathersareencouragedto“swimbetween

4、theflags”.Businessesandthecommunityingeneralraisemoneyordonateequipmentsuchasboatsandcanoes,sunshelters,lifesavingequipmentandflags.Onweekends,whenthevolunteerlifesaversareatwork,sometowncouncilspaylifeguardstopatrolthemostpopularbeaches.Severaltimesduringthesummer,surflifesavingclubsho
