5、gine.Atthattime,thedrivenmembersconnectedtothetransmissioninputshaftareeitherstationaryorrotatingataspeedthatisslowerorfasterthanthedrivingmembersconnectedtotheenginecrankshaft.Thereisnospringpressureontheclutchassemblyparts.Sothereisnofrictionbetweenthedrivi

6、ngmembersanddrivenmembers.Asthedriverletsloosetheclutchpedal,springpressureincreasesontheclutchparts.Frictionbetweenthepartsalsoincreases.Thepressureexertedbythespringsonthedrivenmembersiscontrolledbythedriverthroughtheclutchpedalandlinkage.Thepositiveengagem

7、entofthedrivinganddrivenmembersismadepossiblebythefrictionbetweenthesurfacesofthemembers.Whenfullspringpressureisapplied,thespeedofthedrivinganddrivenmembersshouldbethesame.Atthemoment,theclutchmustactasasolidcouplingdeviceandtransmitallenginepowertothetransm
