5、sis.Theaimofnoisefilteringistoeliminatenoiseanditseffectsontheoriginalimage,whilecorruptingtheimageaslittleaspossible.Tothisend,nonlineartechniques(likethemedianand,ingeneral,orderstatisticsfilters)havebeenfoundtoprovidemoresatisfactoryresultsincomparisontolinearmet

6、hods.Impulsenoiseexistsinmanypradicalapplicationsandcanbegeneratedbyvarioussources,includinganumberofmanmadephenomena,suchasunprotectedswitches,industrialmachinesandcarignitionsystems.ImagesareoftencoiTuptedbyimpulsenoiseduetoanoisysensororchanneltransmissionerrors.

7、Themostcommonmethodusedforimpulsenoisesuppressionnfbrgray-scaleandcolorimagesisthemedianfilter(MF)[2].ThebasicdrawbackoftheapplicationoftheMFistheblurringoftheimageinprocess.Inthegeneralcase.thefilterisapplieduniformlyacrossanimage,modifyingpixelsthatarenotcontamina
