5、ofhisparents,andwonderedwhathappenedtothem.Heusedhisclairvoyance(千里眼)toseewheretheywererebornandfoundhisfatherintheheavenlyrealmsi.e.therealmofthegods.However,hismotherhadbeenreborninalowerrealm,knownasAviciHell(无间地狱),ortheRealmof HungryGhosts.Hismothertookonthe
6、formofa hungryghost (preta) –socalledbecauseitcouldnoteatduetoitshighlythinandfragilethroatinwhichnofoodcouldpassthrough,yetitwasalwayshungrybecauseithadafatbelly.OriginsHehadinstructedhertokindlyhostanyBuddhistmonksthatevercameherway,butinsteadshewithheldherkin
