2、)iscalleddigitalfilterdesign.AfterG(z)hasbeenobtained,thenextstepistorealizeitintheformofasuitablefilterstructure.Inchapter8,weoutlinedavarietyofbasicstructuresfortherealizationofFIRandIIRtransferfunctions.Inthischapter,weconsidertheIIRdigitalfilterdesignproblem.ThedesignofFIRdi

3、gitalfiltersistreatedinchapter10.Firstwereviewsomeoftheissuesassociatedwiththefilterdesignproblem.AwidelyusedapproachtoIIRfilterdesignbasedontheconversionofaprototypeanalogtransferfunctiontoadigitaltransferfunctionisdiscussednext.Typicaldesignexamplesareincludedtoillustratethisa

4、pproach.WethenconsiderthetransformationofonetypeofIIRfiltertransferfunctionintoanothertype,whichisachievedbyreplacingthecomplexvariablezbyafunctionofz.Fourcommonlyusedtransformationsaresummarized.Finallyweconsiderthecomputer-aideddesignofIIRdigitalfilter.Tothisend,werestrictourd
