2、.Theadvantagesofpolyurethanecoatingsincomparisontootherpolymersaregreaterresistancetoabrasionandsplitting,increasedstrengthanddurability.Polyurethanesareformedbythepolyadditionreactionofapolyisocyanatewithapolyalcohol(polyol)inthepresenceofacatalystandotheradditives.Polyisocyanateisamoleculew

3、ithtwoormoreisocyanatefunctionalgroups,R-(N=C=O)n≥2andapolyolisamoleculewithtwoormorehydroxylfunctionalgroups,R’-(OH)n≥2.Thereactionproductisapolymercontainingtheurethanelinkage,-RNHCOOR’-[3].Thereisachancetodevelopcoatedknittedfabricsasprotectiveclothing,workclothing,sportswearandcasualwearm

4、orecomfortablethanclothesmadeoutofcoatedwovenfabricbecausemovementsarelessrestrictedifclothingismadeofelasticknittedmaterial.Coatedknittedfabricsaregenerallymorestretchableandelasticthanwovenfabrics.Part2SamplesandworkingmethodSamplesSevenknittedfabricswithdifferentstructures(designationsKF1-

5、KF7)werechosentocoverawideintervalofvaluesofthecharacteristicsofelongationandbreakingforcestested(Tables1&2).Theywerecoatedunderthesameconditions,onthesamecoatingline,withthreedifferentpolyurethanecoatings(designatedPU1-PU3).Thepolyurethanecoatingshavenearlyequalaveragethicknessesandweights,b

6、utdifferentmechanicalproperties(Table3).Asdescribedabove,thetotalnumberofcoatedknittedfabricswas21(7knittedfabrics×3polyurethanecoatings).WorkingmethodThistimeweobservedmechanicalpropertiesbeforeandaftercoating,andformedconclusionsonthepredictionoftheirbehaviour.Thebehaviourofknittedandcoated

7、knittedfabricsinthelinearapplicationofforcewascomparedwiththatofthesamespecimensinthecaseofsphericalforceapplication.Thesampleswerestatisticallyanalysed(descriptivestatistics,hypothesistesting-t-test,regressionanalysis).Part3Resultsanddiscuss
