5、ftofthegearsiscontrolledbyashiftvalve;andthegearchangesdependonspeed,theroad,andloadconditions.Bothmanualtransmission(withitsclutch)andautomatictransmission(plusitstorqueconverter)accomplishexactlythesamething,buttheydoitintotallydifferentways.Seefigure4-3.Figu
