3、OSOLCOATINGPRODUCTS1APPLICABILITY1.1Thismethod(Method310)appliestothedeterminationofthepercentbyweightof:(1)volatileorganiccompounds(VOC)inconsumerproducts,antiperspirantanddeodorantproducts,andaerosolcoatingsproductsasthosetermsaredefinedinTitle17,CaliforniaC
4、odeofRegulations(CCR),Division3,Chapter1,Subchapter8.5(ConsumerProducts),commencingwithsection94500,and(2)lowvaporpressure-volatileorganiccompounds(LVP-VOC)asthattermisdefinedinsection94508(a),and(3)thereactiveorganiccompounds(ROC)containedinaerosolcoatingprod
5、ucts,asthattermisdefinedinTitle17,CCR,section94521.1.2Method310determinesthetotalvolatilematerialinaproductandthepresenceofanycompoundsprohibitedbyARBregulations(“prohibitedcompounds”).ComponentsoftheproductthatdonotmeetthedefinitionofaVOCorareexemptedbyARBreg
6、ulationsforaspecificproductcategory(“exemptcompounds”)aresubtractedfromthetotalvolatilematerialtodeterminethefinalVOCcontentfortheproduct.Method310isalsousedtodeterminethepercentbyweightoftheROCscontainedinaerosolcoatingproducts,forthepurposeofdeterminingcompl
