4、mentalimportancewithregardtotheircontributiontothereductionofvarioustypesofpollutionandtotheimprovementofmicroclimaticconditions.Furthermore,urbanopenspacesmakepositivecontributionstohumanhealthandwellbeingandtheyleadtoanimportantcontributiontohumanthermalcomfortinexteriorsp
5、aces[1].Besideaesthetic,psychologicalandhealthbenefits,naturalfeaturesincitiescanhaveothersocialbenefits[2].Aspectssuchas“amountofpublicgreenspacesperinhabitant”,“publicparks”and“recreationareas”areoftenmentionedasimportantfactorstomakethecityliveable,pleasantandattractivefo
6、ritscitizens.Itisstronglybelievedthatdevelopingmoresustainablecitiesisnotjustaboutimprovingtheabioticandbioticaspectsofurbanlife,itisalsoaboutthesocialaspectsofcitylife,thatis—amongothers—aboutpeople’ssatisfaction,experiencesandperceptionsofthequalityoftheireverydayenvironme
