2、hetwowereinthesamebusinesswhichsetsthebasisforourcomparison.Secondly,wefeelthattheJapaneseandtheDanishcultureappeartobeverydissimilar.Finally,wechosethetwobecauseoftheaccessibiliyofusefulinformationregardingthem.AsSonyandB&Oareinthesamebusiness,onecandiscusstosomedegree,thatthesetwo

3、companiesarecompetingforsamecustomergroups;Sonyishighvolumeorientated,whereasB&Oisusingastrategyoffocus.B&Oisdifferentiatingitselfbyofferingdistinctiveproductswithfocusondesignthatappealtohigh-scalecustomers.Althoughthetwocompaniesarenottargetingonthesamemarket,theirbusinessenvironm

4、entissimilarintheaspectthattheybothproducehighqualityaudio-videoequipmenttargetedtotheglobalmarket.Becauseofthedistinctdifferenceinnationalbackgroundsofthetwoanddespitesomewhatdifferentmarketingstrategies,webelieveitwillbeinterestingtocomparethetwo.PowerdistanceThefirstdimensionina"

5、natural"culture,calledPowerDistance,indicatestowhatextentthesocietyacceptsthatanorganizationsiscontrollingthepower,andtheorganizationisdistributingthispowerinitsparticularway.Thisbeliefisreflectedinthemindsofbothpowerfulaswellaslesspowerfulmembersofthesociety.Thedimensioncanbeconsid
