2、f3,100,000m2,includingaconstructionareaof900,000m2.Thecampusispicturesqueandcharmingandispermeatedwitharichacademicambience.TheoriginofXAUATdatesbackto1895,theyearwhenTianjinBeiyangSchoolofWesternLearning(BeiyangUniversity)wasfirstestablished.Overtheyears
3、,theuniversitypooledtogethertheearliestelitesinthedisciplinesofcivilengineering,architecture,andmunicipalengineeringinthehistoryofmodernChinesehighereducation.In1956,inthethirdnation-widerestructuringofuniversitiesandcolleges,theschoolwasnamedXi'anInstitu
4、teofConstructionEngineeringafterintegratingandamalgamatingdepartmentsofcivilengineering,architecture,andmunicipalengineeringattheNortheastInstituteofTechnology,NorthwestInstituteofTechnology,QingdaoInstituteofTechnology,andSouthJiangsuTechnicalSchool.Thes
5、choolwasrenamedXi'anInstituteofMetallurgyin1959andsubsequentlyXi'anInstituteofMetallurgyandConstructionEngineeringin1963.OnMarch8,1994,approvedbytheMinistryofEducation,theschooladopteditspresentname,Xi'anUniversityofArchitectureandTechnology.Itisnowwidely
6、recognizedasoneofChina'smostinfluentialuniversitiesinthefieldofcivilengineeringandarchitecture.XAUATinheritsandpromotestheprofessionaladvantageandexpertiseaccumulatedovermorethanahundredyears.Morethan50yearshaselapsedsincethemerger.Throughtheunremittingef
