5、ndKoreanwomen’sroles.DeeplyrootedinConfucianism,thetraditionalKoreanfemaleroleisthatofservingasawife,adaughter-in-law,andamotherbutitappearstobeobsoleteintheemergingglobalcontextsofKoreansociety.Thesetraditionalrolesnolongersuitnewsituationsandvariousdevelopment
6、sinthepostmodernworld.Aordingly,theexpectationsforKoreanmarriedmiddle-agedwomenbythesociety,theirfamilymembers,andevenwomenthemselveshavebeendramaticallychanged.Thispaperfirst,fromaConfuciantradition,identifiesanddescribesKoreantraditionalwomen’sroles.Second,ite
