4、ternmining,sincepatternmatchingmethodscanbeusedtocalculatethesupport(orthenumberofoccurrences)ofapatternandthentodeterminewhetherthepatternisfrequentornot.Astate-of-the-artsequentialpatternminingwithgapconstraints(orflexiblewildcards)usesthenumberofnon-overlappingoc-currencestodenotethef
5、requencyofapattern.Non-overlappingmeansthatanytwooccurrencescannotusethesamecharacterofthesequenceatthesamepositionofthepattern.Inthispaper,weinvestigatestrictpatternmatchingunderthenon-overlappingcondition.WeshowthattheproblemisinPatfirst.Thenweproposeanalgorithm,calledNETLAP-Best,which
6、usesNettreestructure.NETLAP-BesttransformsthepatternmatchingproblemintoaNettreeanditeratestofindtherightmostroot-leafpath,toprunetheuselessnodesintheNettreeafterremovingtherightmostroot-leafpath.WeshowthatNETLAP-Bestisacompletealgorithmandanalysethetimeandspacecomplexitiesofthealgorithm.
