2、endtheshapeupabittomakethecuptaller.Step2Takethe RoundedRectangleTool andmakeathinstripeof 175×20px sizeforthesaucer.Usethe EraserTool(Shift-E) todeletethetoppartofthesaucerandattachittothecup.Makethesaucerabitdarkertomaketheshapesclearlyvisible.Step3Let’saddahandletoourcup.Makea 1

3、30×80px shapeusingthe RectangleTool(M). Selectboththecupandtherectangleandclickthecuponceagaintomakeita KeyObject (youwillseeathickselection).Headtothe Align panelandclick VerticalAlignTop toalignbothshapestothetopofthecup.Nowwecanusethe DirectSelectionTool(A) andthe LiveCorners fe

4、aturetomakethehandleroundedbypullingthecirclemarkers.Step4Selectthehandleandgoto Object>Path>OffsetPath,settingthe Offset valueto -20px inordertocreateasmallershapeinside.Selectbothshapesandusethe MinusFront functionofthe Pathfinder tocutouttheinnershape.Finally,placethehandlebehin

5、dthecupbyusingthe Shift-Control-[ keyscombination.Step5Let’saddatrendysemi-transparentshadowtoourflatcup.Selectalltheelementsofthecupand duplicate them (Control-C>Control-F).Keepingthecopiesselected, Unite theminthePathfinder intoonesingleshape.Usethe EraserTool(Shift-E) whileholdi

6、ng Alt todeletethelefthalfofthemergedshape.Switchthe BlendingMode oftheremainingshapeinto Multiply inthe Transparency panelandadjustthecolor,darkeningtherightpartofthecup.Step6Nowlet’smakeastylizedsteamrisingfromourhotcup.Usethe LineSegmentTool() andhold Shift tomakethreeverticall

7、ines.Headtothe Stroke panelandsetthe Weight to 6pt,Cap and Corner tomiddlepositions,thiswaymakingthetipsofthelinesrounded.Goto Effect>Distort&Transform>ZigZag.Fromhere,setthe Size to 5px,RidgesperSegment to 3 and Points to Smooth,creatingwavyflowinglines.Step7Let’smakeasimplegreenl
