1、HenanUniversityislocatedinKaifeng,afamoushistoriccityandthecapitalof7dynastiesinChinesehistory.Itwasfoundedin1912andwasoriginallynamedThePreparatoryCollegeforFurtherStudyinEuropeandAmerica.AfterwardsitwasrenamedZhongzhouUniversity(1923),HenanZhongshanUniversity(1927),Hen
2、anProvincialUniversity(1930),andHenanNationalUniversity(1942).Bytheendofthe1940s,ithaddevelopedintoaninfluentialcomprehensiveuniversitywith6colleges,namely,collegeofArt, collegeofScience,collegeofLaw,collegeofAgriculture,collegeofEngineeringandcollegeofMedicine.Withthena
3、tionwidereorganizationofuniversitiesanddepartmentsin 1953,theuniversitywasrenamedHenanTeachersCollege(1953),KaifengTeachersCollege(1956)andHenanTeachersUniversity(1979).Thename-HenanUniversitywasrestoredinMay,1984. Sinceitsfoundingin1912,HenanUniversityhastrainednearly4
4、00,000graduatesforthecountry.Manyfamousscholars,suchasFanWenlan,FengYoulan,LuoZhanglong,MaoLirui,JiangLiangfu,JiWenfu,havetaughthere.ItsgraduatesYinDa,DengTuo,HouJingru,YuanBaohua,WangGuoquan,BaiShouyi,YangTingbao,GaoJiyu,WangMingqi,YaoXueyin,ZhouErfu,MaKe,etc.,arewell-k
5、nownexperts,scholarsorsocialactivists.ItsalumnihavemadeandaremakinggreatcontributionstothedevelopmentofChinaandtheprogressofmankind,constructedundertheco-supervisionoftheprovinceandtheministry,onehumanitysocialsciencebaseunderthesupervisionoftheministryofEducation.Nowthe
