3、.Atleasttheybothsaidtheywerefriends,butfromthewaythingswentonyoumighthavethoughtPuzzlewasmorelikeShift'sservantthanhisfriend.Hedidallthework.Whentheywenttogethertotheriver,ShiftfilledthebigskinbottleswithwaterbutitwasPuzzlewhocarriedthemback.Whentheywan
4、tedanythingfromthetownsfurtherdowntheriveritwasPuzzlewhowentdownwithemptypanniersonhisbackandcamebackwiththepanniersfullandheavy.AndallthenicestthingsthatPuzzlebroughtbackwereeatenbyShift;forasShiftsaid,"Yousee,Puzzle,Ican'teatgrassandthistleslikeyou,so
5、it'sonlyfairIshouldmakeitupinotherways."AndPuzzlealwayssaid,"Ofcourse,Shift,ofcourse.Iseethat."Puzzlenevercomplained,becauseheknewthatShiftwasfarclevererthanhimselfandhethoughtitwasverykindofShifttobefriendswithhimatall.AndifeverPuzzledidtrytoargueabout
