2、Novelcarbonquantumdot(CQD)-modifiedBiOIphotocatalystswerepreparedviaafacilehydrothermalprocess.TheCQD-modifiedBiOImaterialswerecharacterizedbymultipletechniques.TheCQDwithanaveragesizearoundseveralnanometerswasdistributedonthesurfaceofBiOImicrosphere.Itsphotocatalyticactivitywasinvestigateds

3、ufficientlybythephotodegradationofmethyleneorange(MO).TheresultsshowedthattheCQD/BiOI1.5wt.%sampleexhibitedtheoptimumphotocatalyticactivity,whichwas2.5timesthatofthepureBiOI.ThisimprovementwasattributedtothecrucialroleofCQDs,whichcouldbeactedasaphotocenterforabsorbingsolarlight,chargeseparat

6、asofsemiconductor/carboncomposites[9,10].Notably,anovelternaryoxidesemiconductorhavedrawnmuchthedesignofcomplexphotocatalysts(TiO2/CQDs,attentionbecauseoftheirpotentialapplicationinphoto-Ag3PO4/CQDs,Bi2MoO6/CQDs)toutilizemoresun-catalysis.Amongthem,BiOIisphotochemicallystablelighthasbeenrepo
