2、(30GHz),itisindeedRFandlow-endmicrowave.RFrequiresadesignengineeringapproachthataddressestheassociatedstrongerelectromagneticfieldeffectswhichnaturallyoccuratthesehigherfrequencies.Thesefieldscaninducesignalsinadjacentsignallines,orPCBtraces,creatingundesirablecrosstalk(interferenceandov
3、erallnoise),underminingsystemperformance.Returnloss(signalreflectedbackintotheincidentoncomingsignal)isprimarilycausedbyimpedancemismatchandhasmuchthesameimpactofaddednoiseandinterferencetotheprimarysignal.Therearetwoeffectsofhighreturnloss,bothofwhicharebadnews.First,signalreflectionbac
4、ktowardsthesourceaddsnoisetothesystem,makingitmoredifficultforthereceivertodistinguishnoisefromthesignal.Second,anyreflectedsignalisfundamentallyadegradationofthesignalitselfsincethe“meaning”orshapeoftheinboundsignalcanbealtered.Whileadigitalsystemcanbefarmoreforgivingsinceitisonlyattemp
