1、On-callagreement1.Principles1.1ThisagreementcoversOn-callworkingwithinthe.ThisagreementcomesintoforceonlslApril2011.1.2Thiscollectiveagreementsupersedesallotheron-callagreementswithintheTrust.1.3ThisagreementhasbeendrawnupusingthePrinciplesforHarmonisedOn-callArrangement

2、sinAnnexA3oftheNHSTermsandConditionsofServiceHandbook.Thepolicyisconsistentwiththeprincipleofequalpayforworkofequalvalue・1.4Thedetailsofthedutiesofon-callstaffhavetobeagreedwiththedepartmentalmanagerforeachgroupofstaffon-call.1.5Amemberofstaffison-callwhen,aspartofanestablished

3、aiTangementwiththeTrust,he/sheisavailableoutsidehis/hernormalworkinghours-eitherattheworkplace,athomeorelsewhere一toworkasandwhenrequired.Theindividualpersononcallshouldhavetheabilitytoapplyprofessionaldiscretiontodeterminetheurgencyoftheresponsetothecall.1.6Theremunerationforon

4、-callismadeupof2parts.Onepartforthecommitmentandtheotherpartforworkactuallycarriedout.1.7Withinthereare2typesofon-callcommitment:2.athomereadytobecalledouttoundertakeworkattheworkplaceorprovideadviceoverthephone;3.atworkreadytoundertakework.3.1Workdonewillincludetelephon

5、eadvice.(Seesection4一on-callimplementationGuidance27-09-11-0)3.2StaffhavetheoptiontotakeTimeofinLieu(TOIL)ratherthanthepaymentforworkdonebutthisisthechoiceoftheemployee.Seesection3.5oftheNHSTermsandConditionsofServiceHandbook3.3Individualswillreceivecompensatoryrestforworkdone,

6、inaccordancewithSection27oftheNHSTermsandConditionsofServiceHandbook.3.4Traveltimeistobepaidattherateagreedforon-callworkdoneupto60minutespercallwhereattendanceattheplaceofworkisrequired.TravellingexpenseswillbepaidaccordingtoSection17oftheNHSTermsandConditionsofServiceHandbook

7、L12Coveringanon-callperiodonaPublicHolidaywillattractadayinlieuinaccordancewithparagraph13.4oftheNHSTermsandConditionsofServiceHandbook,irrespectiveofworkdone.1.WorkdoneonPublicholidayswillattractpaymentattheappropriateratesasidentifiedinparagraph13.4oftheNHSTermsandConditionso
