2、留下的建筑空间环境，是一种特殊的文化载体，它们凝固与浓缩了当时的文化，并以物质的形态进行展示，是城市传统与特色的继承。从不同时期的建筑空问环境的变化可以找寻到城市历史演变的轨迹，从而了解一个城市的发展变化。城市化是我国当前发展主要趋势所向，也是推动我国经济增长的主要因素，随着城市化进程的加快以及土地资源稀缺性问题的突出，历史文化街区保护与更新成为重要的课题。本文主要从城市再生角度(以精明增长的理论为出发点)研究陈老巷历史文化街区的保护和更新设计，并以陈老巷为例研究历史文化街区的保护与更新设计。关键词：历史文化街区；保护与更新；陈老巷Urba
