4、enmadeinrevealingthemechanismofthaumasitefonnationinconcrete,itcontinuestobefraughtwithambiguitiesanddissension.ChemicalmethodwasemployedtosynthesizepureC3S,C2S,C3A,ettringiteandthaumasite,andX-raydiffraction(XRD),RamanspectroscopyandInfraredspectra(
5、IR)wereusedtoidentifythaumasitefromotherhydrates・Toinvestigatethedirectrouteofthaumasiteformation,C3S,C2S,gypsumandcalciumcarbonatewereusedtoprepareacementpastesothattheinterferenceofettringiteformationcanbeavoided.Theindirectrouteofthaumasiteformati
6、onwasalsostudiedbyconsideringtheeffectofC3Aorettringitecontentonthaumasiteformation.Resultsshowthatthaumasitecanbedefinitelygeneratedwithoutaluminium-bearingmineralsorettringiteunderappropriateconditions,whiletheettringitepresencepromotesthethaumasit
7、eformation.Noevidencesupportsheterogeneousnucleationrouteinthiswork.Itisconcludedthatthemethodmentionedinthisworkcansurelybeusedtoinvestigatethemechanismofthaumasiteformation,andthaumasitecanbeformedbybothdirectandwoodforditeroute.Keywords:thaumasite
