3、wasreading:Allmycharacterswerewhiteandblue-eyed,theyplayedinthesnow,theyateapples,andtheytalkedalotabouttheweather,howlovelyitwasthatthesunhadcomeout.(Laughter)Now,thisdespitethefactthatIlivedinNigeria.IhadneverbeenoutsideNigeria.Wedidn'thavesnow,weat

6、ytheirverynaturehadtohaveforeignersinthemandhadtobeaboutthingswithwhichIcouldnotpersonallyidentify.ThingschangedwhenIdiscoveredAfricanbooks.Thereweren'tmanyofthemavailable,andtheyweren'tquiteaseasytofindastheforeignbooks.2:14ButbecauseofwriterslikeChi
