3、nalsandmultipleuserseachwithaterminalaremainlydiscussed.Themajorworksareasfollows:Firstly,thebasicconcept,characteristics,keytechnologiesandmainapplicationsofvirtualterminalsystemareintroduced.Thenmaincharacteristicsofverticalhandoffanditstypicalscenesarebrieflyintroduced.S
4、econdly,therelatedconceptsofverticalhandofftechnologyareintroducedinwirelessubiquitousenvironment.Then,variousverticalhandofftechnologiesbasedondecisioncriterionaresummarizedandcompared.Thirdly,thetheoreticalanalysisofthehandofftriggertimeselectionisintroduced.Then,analgori
5、thmisproposedtopredicttheoptimalhandofftriggertimethroughtheestimationofhandoffdelayandthepredictionofreceivedsignalstrength(RSS).Simulationresultsshowthatthisalgorithmcaneffectivelyreducetheprobabilityofhandofffailureandthepacketlossratio.Finally,regardingtotheverticalhand
6、offamongmultipleusers,aterminalpredictionalgorithmisproposedthroughtheconstructionofrevenuefunctionandthepredictionofnetworkparameters.Simulationresultsshowthatthisalgorithmcanmakeusersobtainmorerevenueandeffectivelyreducethepacketlossratio.Keywords:Wirelessubiquitousenviro
