4、,theinfluencesofthosewhopreferredtheNorman(orAngloFrench)spellingsofcertainwordsproveddecisive.SubsequentspellingadjustmentsintheUKhadlittleeffectonpresentdayUSspelling,andviceversa(反的).WhileinmanycasesAmericanEnglishdeviated(偏离;脱离)inthe19thcenturyfrommainstreamBritishspelling,ontheotherhandith
