1、本文首先结合中国英语教学实际探讨了英语单词记忆在教学中的重大作用，指出它是英语学习者在英语学习中普遍遇到的一个难题；然后阐述现当代国内外有关记忆的研究，并根据英语单词的特点及艾宾浩斯遗忘规律对英语词汇进行科学有效的记忆；最后讨论分类记忆方法，即根据语义场理论对大学英语四六级词汇重新进行分类，从而使英语学习者能够更为快捷有效地记住四六级词汇。关键词：记忆；遗忘规律；分类记忆ABSTRACTThispaperfirstexploresthesignificanceofmemorizingEnglishwordsinthecontextofEL
