3、iddelivery.Themodelregeneratesplansincorporatingnewrequestsforaidmaterials,newsuppliesandtransportationmeansthatbecomeavailableduringthecurrentplanningtimehorizon.Theplanindicatestheoptimalmixedpickupanddeliveryschedulesforvehicleswithintheconsideredplanningtimehorizonaswellastheoptimal
4、quantitiesandtypesofloadspickedupanddeliveredontheseroutes.Inemergencylogisticscontext,supplyisavailableinlimitedquantitiesatthecurrenttimeperiodandonspecifiedfuturedates.Commoditydemandisknownwithcertaintyatthecurrentdate,butcanbeforecastedforfuturedates.Unlikecommercialenvironments,ve
5、hiclesdonothavetoreturntodepots,becausethenexttimetheplanisre-generated,anodereceivingcommoditiesmaybecomeadepotoraformerdepotmayhavenosuppliesatall.Asaresult,therearenoclosedlooptours,andvehicleswaitattheirlaststopuntiltheyreceivethenextorderfromthelogisticscoordinationcentre.Hence,dis
6、patchordersforvehiclesconsistofsetsof“broken”routesthataregeneratedinresponsetotime-dependentsupply/demand.Themathematicalmodeldescribesasettingthatisconsiderablydifferentthantheconventionalvehicleroutingproblem.Infact,theproblemisahybridthatintegratesthemulti-commoditynetworkflowproblem
7、andthevehicleroutingproblem.Inthissetting,vehiclesarealsotreatedascommodities.Themodelisreadilydecomposedintotwomulti-commoditynetworkflowproblems,thefirstonebeinglinear(forconventionalcommodities)andthesecondinteger(forvehicleflows).Inthesolutionapproach,thesesubmodelsarecoupledw
