4、ous.Hehadtoldafriendtwochaptersofastoryhehadwritten.Thefriendthoughthewasretellingastoryfromabook.ThisreallysurprisedAsimovandfromthatmoment,hestartedtotakehimselfseriouslyasawriter.Asimovbeganhavingstoriespublishedinsciencefictionmagazinesin1939.In1
5、950hepublishedhisfirstnovelandin1953hisfirstsciencebook. Throughouthislife,Asimovreceivedmanyawards,bothforhissciencefictionbooksandhissciencebooks.Amonghismostfamousworksofsciencefiction,oneforwhichhewonanawardwastheFoundationtrilogy(1951-1953),thre
6、enovelsaboutthedeathandrebirthofagreatempireinagalaxyofthefuture.ItwaslooselybasedonthefalloftheRomanEmpirebutwasaboutthefuture.ThesebooksarefamousbecauseAsimovinventedatheoreticalframeworkwhichwasdesignedtoshowhowideasandthinkingmaydevelopinthefutur
7、e.Heisalsowellknownforhiscollectionofshortstories,I,Robot(1950),inwhichhedevelopedasetofthree“laws”forrobots.Forexample,thefirstlawstatesthatarobotmustnotinjurehumanbeingsorallowthemtobeinjured.Someofhisideasaboutrobotslaterinfluencedotherwritersande
