1、OfficialRulesTHECOMPETITIONSponsoredbyKPMG,theCaseCompetitionisorganizedbySchoolofmanagement,XiamenUniversitywiththesupportofMBAcenterandcollegeprofessors.ThisCaseCompetitionisaveryimportanteducationaleventwhichofferstudentstheopportunitytoshowtheirleadership,analyticalm

2、indandcommunicationskillsinwrittenandoralform.TheCompetitionalsoservesasanexcellentforumforinteractionamongstudentsfromdifferentmajors.ELIGIBILITYThecompetitionisopentofull-timeundergraduateandpostgraduatestudentsfromXiamenUniversity.Eachteammusthaveexactly4members,butth

3、eydonothavetobefromthesameyearorthesamemajor.(Eachteamisrequiredtohavenomorethan1postgraduatestudent.)THETEAMSThestudentalternatemayonlyparticipateintheCompetitioninextenuatingcircumstancesandwiththeapprovaloftheorganizers.ToparticipateintheCompetition，ateammustregistera

4、lloftheirmembersby11:59pmMarch21，2009bycompletingtheofficialentryformavailableatSchoolofmanagement.Afterthisdeadline，nochangestotheteammembersmaybemadefortheOnlineRound1.IfateamisselectedfortheRound2heldinAuditoriuminZhangzhouCampusonApril11andJ2-201inXiamenCampusonApril

5、12,eachteammustuseMicrosoftPowerPointintheirpresentationandpreparefortheQ&Asessions.IfateamisselectedfortheChampionshipRound3heldinKeliBuilding（克立楼）onApril19,andeachteamalsomustuseMicrosoftPowerPointintheirpresentationandpreparefortheQ&Asessions.THECASESThecasesusedinthe

6、Competitionwill,tothebestoftheOrganizers’knowledge,beunpublishedanduntested.ThecasessuppliedduringthiscompetitionarewrittenfullyinEnglish.CaseCompetition–OnlineRound1Thereare3roundsofcompetition.Thefirstround,alsoknownasthe‘Online’round,willbemanagedthroughthecompetition

7、website.TeamscompetinginthisRoundarerequiredtoattendabriefingsessionpriortothecommencementoftheRound(timeanddatetobeannouncedlater).Atthissession,thecompetitionrulesandschedulewillbeoutlinedandexpectationsoftheteamswillbediscussed.Allteamswhohavesuccessfullyregisteredbef
