4、n1957andIS808:1957waspublishedcoveringjunior,lightweight,mediumweight,wideflangeandheavyweightbeamsections;junior,lightweightandmediumweightchannelsectionsandequalandunequalleganglesections.Thisstandardwasrevisedin1964.Inthesecondrevisionofthisstandard.partsrelatingtomed
5、iumweightbeamsections-MBseries,columnsections-SCseries,channelsections-MCandMCPseriesandequalandunequallegangleswererevisedandpublishedasParts1,2,3,5and6ofIS808,respectively.Sectionsnotcovered,intheseparts,however.continuedinIS808:1964.Inthepresentrevision,theSectionalCo
6、mmitteefeltitconvenienttomergeallthefivepartsintoonestandard.ThesectionswhichwereretainedinIS808:1964subsequenttoitssecondrevisioninfivepartsareincludedinthisstandardwithaviewthatthesesectionsalthoughnotbeingrolledinthecountryatpresentmayinfutureberolledowingtotheireffic
7、iencyandresultanteconomyintheuseofsteel.However,thedesignersareadvisedtocheckfromJPC/producersregardrngavailabilityofsuchsections.Followingadditionalmodificationshavebeenaffectedinthisrevision:a)MediumweightbeamsectionsMB100havingtheflangewidthandwebthicknessof70mmand45m
8、m,respectively,hasbeenmodifiedto50mmflangewidthand47mmwebthickness;b)Twosections,namely,BFB150andRSJ200
